With veganism gaining in popularity, many people are looking for a plant-based protein powder. And then to be even more specific, many people are looking for organic plant-based protein powder. A very popular organic plant-based protein powder is Garden of Life Protein. This popularity is mostly due to the fact that Garden of Life Protein is certified vegan, gluten free, Non-GMO, and also sugar free. So if health and nutrition is your main priority, you need to be taking a look at this protein powder.

Nutrition Facts

Garden of Life Protein sources its protein from ingredients such as organic peas, organic sprouted brown rice, and organic amaranth among others. This powder contains 22 grams of protein per serving. It also contains 2.5 grams of total fat and 2 grams of carbohydrates. It has 110 calories per serving and also serves up 4 grams of BCAA’s (branched chain amino acids). This product also contains live probiotics and enzymes to help your body break down and absorb the protein for easier digestion. All of the grains, seeds, and legumes that are used in this protein powder have been sprouted which makes for easier digestion and allows for increased bioavailability of their nutrients.

Mixability and Taste

This product is available in a variety of different flavors including: Chocolate, Unflavored, Vanilla, and Vanilla Chai. I am a chocolate lover, so I always go after chocolate flavors. To be honest, this isn’t the best tasting protein powder I have had. In my experience, vegan protein powders usually have an odd, chalky and slightly gritty consistency to them and this product is no different. With that being said, the taste is very tolerable and I have no problem drinking it. This product does not mix well with a spoon and water so a shaker cup or blender is strongly recommended.
